Our School Virtues & Awards

At SCELS, character is as important as academics. Our School Virtues program weaves values-based learning into daily school life, fostering a positive, spirited, and caring school community.

Our Three Houses

All students and staff at SCELS belong to one of three Houses, each named after a beloved children's author:

  • Robert Munsch's RED House
  • Eric Carle's BLUE House
  • Dr. Seuss' GREEN House

Through ongoing points and tokens earned by upholding our school virtues, students develop a spirited sense of friendly competition and pride in their school. We celebrate with Spirit Days and special assemblies where students cheer for their house and share in each other's achievements.

Monthly School Virtues

Each month, SCELS focuses on one School Virtue as a theme. Selected students from each class are recognized for exemplifying that virtue in their daily school life.
